Our history
Bodegas RE offers a concept of wines of unique character, based on REcreating, REinventing and REvealing ancestral wines from the biblical stories to the wines produced in the past centuries by the family, in noble and beautiful clay jars. It is in this way, then, how the wines of ancestors are REborn and their artisan REvive; REcreating imagined wines, REinventing dreamed wines and REvealing a beauty that can only exist in RE wines.

We are a small family winery, formed in 2008, after a long winemaking career, by Pablo Morandé Lavín and his children; Piedad and Pablo, with who share the passion and dedication of this great project.
Our history is as long as it is recent. Long because Pablo is the ninth generation of the first Morandé who planted vineyards in Peñaflor, who produced wines and spirits in jars, and fifth generation of the Lavín Urrutia family, owners of extensive vineyards in the Cauquenes sector of the Maule region, viticulture that deeply marked the thinking and dreaming of their wines. And it is recent since our history begins with the decision to create wines as a family and REvolutionize the wine industry during the 2008 season.
We have preserved the family's maulinas jars and partially make our wines in them, in order to demonstrate that wines of excellence can be made with the combination of ancestral procedures and current knowledge. Following this vision, we have re-designed and re-created the old jars, turning them into giant concrete amphorae with a character, quality and beauty unique in the world.
For the family, the discovery of Casablanca and being pioneers in their wines of modernity and elegance, have allowed a conjunction of fundamental elements to conceive RE wines, where history is the basis of modernity, with a vision closely linked to man, his history, customs, traditions and also gastronomy.
